Cee-Lo “Fuck You” Official Video Is Basically Perfect
Cee-Lo Green’s creative sustenance was uncertain after Gnarls Barkley failed to save the world, but the Atlanta Dungeon Family alum and all-around multi-talent has proven he’s always one step ahead with his everywhere-all-the-time single “Fuck You.”
And now, finally, the official video has hit the Web. And it is genius. Set in an old-fashioned soda shop, “Fuck You” primarily stars Cee-Lo dopplegangers from elementary-age through adulthood. But we also get an omniscient, present-day Cee-Lo, narrating the lifelong story of his trampled-on heart, pausing to lip-sync his already iconic hook with a “See why I’m all like, ‘Fuck You’?” self-assurance.
It’s hilarious, sweet, vivid to look at and even softens the blunt impact of those titular words (the youngest version of Cee-Lo in the video never actually mimes the explicit phrase). And enjoy it now after the jump and spread the word. If not, well, you know the rest….
